Beverly’s Birthdays would just like to extend a giant THANK YOU to all of the wonderful volunteers and great people who have donated both birthday items and financial contributions. Without your support, we would not be able to spread birthday cheer!
….. is some great big birthday cheer! For the April birthday celebration we had a Mad Scientist birthday party and both experiments focused on creating rainbows. Experiment # 1 “Rainbow Milk” involved milk, food coloring and dish soap. Experiment # 2 “Rainbow in a Jar” involved honey, dish soap, water, food coloring, vegetable oil and rubbing alcohol. The kids also had the chance to play “Pin the Nose on Beaker.” The weather was great and the kids really enjoyed themselves. We celebrated Quincy, Deiontae and Jessica and these birthday kiddos really loved their party. Their faces show how much fun they all had.
A big THANK YOU to all of our wonderful volunteers, Lucci’s Pizza and Denise for making delicious cupcakes in a cone. Our next party is Wednesday, May 30.
As an AmeriCorps alumni, they asked me to write a feature blog on Beverly’s Birthdays in honor of National Volunteer Appreciation Week. How exciting! Check it out! http://americorpsalums.wordpress.com/2012/04/16/spreading-birthday-cheer-through-service/#comment-2092
